My Infiniti G35 sport coupe, May 2004

Some simple pictures of my G35 6MT sport coupe. 6 speed, Brembo brakes, limited slip rear differential, and the Premium Package which includes the power sunroof, 8 speaker Bose premium audio, dual-zone climate control, auto on/off headlamps, and other little trinkets. Of course it's Pearl White :)

Latest Pictures October 5th, 2003

Haven't taken any full car pictures lately. These latest shots show the window tint, along with the STi foglight covers and version 2 front lip. Also including a picture of our new house now that we have completed the landscaping :)

Blitz Nur Spec Axle Back Exhaust!

After having the hangers snap off the BPM Twister muffler, I had to find a replacement for the rear section of my BPM exhaust. I decided on the Blitz Nur Spec exhaust, since it was rated #1 for hp/torque gains of 12 exhausts tested on the WRX. I just didn't want it to LIMIT my Stage 4+ power. It fit up perfectly, has good craftsmanship, and looks good. It is a LOT quieter than the BPM Twister muffler, which sort of bums me out. :( I loves the Twister sound...it was badass. This doesn't sound bad at all, but now my car has more of that mid 60s Ferrari sound. Oh, and the tip on this muffler is bigger, so I am a little less stealth. :P

Stage 4+ Installed!

Took about 12 hours total to complete install for all my Stage4+ parts. Many thanks to my brothers Steve and Chris, and my friend Chuck...without them this wouldn't have been possible! Wow, 19psi with this setup is pretty sick. It pulls SO strong. :) Now time to tune and play. Will probably put a small write-up under my journal on some of the do's and don'ts for attempting this install yourself. If you don't have a lot of tools (wobbles, extensions...all the odd little things), don't even THINK about it. This was by no means an easy job.
The first picture is a BEFORE install shot, and then there are shots at the end to compare, mainly for the intercooler difference. The stock TD04 turbo is visibly smaller than the VF30 turbo, on both the compressor and exhaust side (and the VF30 is a modest upgrade turbo for a WRX). The stock catalytic converter in the factory uppipe is a sin.
Also including a few pictures of the STi hoodscoop and clear sidemarkers. The STi hoodscoop will ensure I get plenty of fresh, cool air to the larger intercooler. The clear sidemarkers were cheap, and replace the ugly orange lights that always seemed to clash with my white car (dare anyone say I am RICE!) :P

Stage 4+ Upgrades!

Since I already had a full 3" turboback exhaust, and recently purchased a TurboXS UTEC engine management, I decided to go all out for Stage4+. This includes IHI VF30 turbocharger, TurboXS top-mount intercooler, STi injectors (565cc), Walbro fuel pump (255lph), Perrin uppipe, and Perrin short intake. This setup dynos at around 385 crank horsepower (~150 more horsepower than stock), and is good for mid 12s @ 108 in the quarter mile. :)

18inch Rota Subzeros with 225/40/18 Bridgestone S-03 tires

I really loved the looks of my 17" set of Subzeros, and the fact that they were lightweight and inexpensive. I liked them so much that I decided to change my 18" setup from the ADRs to Subzeros. :) I sold my ADRs, and for only a tad more money, got a new 18" set that is a few pounds lighter, and with better tires! w00t!!! The S-03s are great so far, though I haven't really even broken them in yet.

Installing the Greddy EGT probe (so easy, only took 2 pics...none of which are that helpful!)

Steve and Chuck helped me install the Greddy EGT probe (finally). Car almost NEVER breaks 800C even for extended WOT runs, so it's definitely not running lean. I installed the probe 3" downstream of cylinder 3 exhaust port (picture shows the bung installed after we drilled and tapped the manifold).

17" Rota Subzero pictures, and picture of MKiii exhaust on car

Nothing really exciting in these pictures. This is my car now wearing the 17*7.5 Rota Subzeros and 215/45/17 Bridgestone RE950s for the wintertime. A nice light (16lb) wheel, and some great ultra all-season tires. Oh, and I took a not-so-good picture of the 3" MKiii exhaust on the car (people kept asking for it).

BPM MKiii 3" turbo-back full stainless exhaust pictures.

With Steve's help, we were able to install the turbo-back BPM MKiii exhaust. It uses a twin-dump downpipe (divided) off of the turbo (seperates the wastegate gas flow for better efficiency), and a 3 chamber twister muffler. It sounds like a race motorcycle...very throaty, with a hint of pop during deceleration. You can see the huge difference in piping comparing the 3" versus the stock exhaust (comprised mostly ~2 inch pressbent). I can clearly hear the turbo spool instantly on throttle, and there is almost no lag! I have should have gotten this exhaust a long time ago. Beware: it's not for the feint of heart.

Kevin's Impreza WRX with APEX racing coilovers

I decided when I did suspension mods to the WRX, I wanted to go all out. These APEX racing coilovers are height adjustable, and 22way rebound adjustable. They are very streetable, but are obviously much better than the stock setup...body lean is way down, and no more nose dive/lift under brake/acceleration. Car is about 1.4" lower than stock (not slammed).

Pictures of 60mm Greddy Gauges and Defi Hood

Here are some pictures (sorry for the bad quality) of the electronic 60mm Greddy gauges which I installed into the Defi gauge hood that replaces the factory clock. I went with boost/vacuum, EGT, and oil pressure (all gauges are in metric). Came out much better than I expected, and I wired it so that I can unplug the gauges and plug in the stock piece in about 5 minutes! Mail me for details.

Factory WRX spoiler Install

These pics are from the installation of the factory WRX spoiler. Steve and Chuck assisted in this install...and it was recommended by EVERYONE not to do this yourself. :P It came out perfect! I was shocked (and glad). LOTS of laughing and cringing from the guys as I used the hole punch for the first time on my 4 month old car.

STOCK Pictures of Kevin's Impreza WRX

Some (not so good) pictures of my car a few days after I got it. Steve stopped by with the digital cam and we quickly snapped a few pics. The car was not clean at all, but since the weather was bad anyway, it's hard to tell! And no, we don't live in Kansas (even though it looks that way with ominous sky and fields in the background) :P
